I'm a recent member of the Society, having been an attender first at a meeting. I enjoy reading about the early history of the Society, but only in a personal rather than academic way. I like to contribute as much as I can to the life of my meeting, in suggesting Quakerly things we can do together as well as the usual. I'm lucky enough to live in '1652' country, only about an hour from Swarthmore Hall.
